Best Carpet Buyer’s Guide by Consumer Advocate

I’ve read through all the free Carpet Buying Guides and manufacturer brochures that are available today and I find that they all seem to forget to mention something very important to every homeowner in the market for new carpet or flooring.

What Do They Forget To Tell You?

As helpful as their carpet buying guides and product brochures might seem at first glance, there is limited product information designed to help consumers make wise and informed choices.

They are quick to point out all the positive qualities of their carpets, but they fail to point out all the negative qualities that every homeowner really need to know.

For example, did you know that looped Berber styles can be a wonderful choice for many homeowners if chosen wisely, installed properly and the correct padding is selected.

Looped Berber Damage
Pulled loops cause damage that is difficult and costly to repair.

However, what they often fail to tell you is that children and pets can easily snag the loops causing them to come loose and ruin the carpet very quickly. This type of carpet damage is difficult and costly to repair and carpet warranties do not cover snagged or pulled loops.

Common Carpet Scams and Rip-offs

There are literally dozens of ways for dishonest salespeople and unscrupulous carpet retailers to cheat homeowners and overcharge them by hundreds or even thousand of dollars. Most homeowners don’t have a clue how to recognize these scams or how to avoid them.

None of the carpet buying guides I’ve read mention anything about avoiding common carpet scams and rip-offs, but I do and it’s all revealed here on my website for free.

I look under every rock to expose the carpet industry for what it is. My goal is to help  homeowners learn how to choose new carpet wisely, how to get a fair and square deal and how to make sure your new carpet is installed properly.

With thousands of carpet types and styles to choose from and limited access to accurate and complete carpet specifications, buying new carpet is not as easy as most folks think.

This is why it is absolutely critical that every homeowner has free and unfettered access to honest and complete carpet buying information.
